LEAN SIX SIGMA COURSE

USA & EUROPEAN CERTIFICATIONS IN LEAN SIX SIGMA

WHAT IS LEAN SIX SIGMA?

Lean Six Sigma methodology has proved its worth in industries ranging from manufacturing to services even administration. Organizations that use Six Sigma can improve customer satisfaction, increase productivity and enhance financial performance thus making them profitable by reducing cost of quality, improving process capability and reducing wastes.

Lean Six Sigma is now a global trend—a methodology for business excellence through continuous improvement. Upon certification, participants will be equipped with tools to optimize business processes and contribute to breakthrough results in corporate performance: the same process-improvement skills that enabled early pioneers such as Toyota, Motorola and General Electric to produce dramatic results in organizational performance. The course integrates Six Sigma and Lean with business analytics and business intelligence making it the most comprehensive learning experience. Employees with a Lean Six Sigma certification can help their organizations obtain these benefits while they create a promising future for themselves.

Six Sigma is about quality. Lean is about reducing time through reduction in waste and complexity. Both Six Sigma and Lean offer sets of tools that are dedicated to meeting customer requirements. A major component of this program is the DMAIC process.

Control:

ocus on implementing controls and developing standards. Evaluating financial benefits, monitoring process changes, understanding process capability, developing response plans, and effective project closure.

To be successful, organizations need a consistent methodology for solving complex problems. They also need professionals who can find opportunities for continuous improvement that will delight customers. This is why certified Lean Six Sigma professionals are in high demand in IT, manufacturing and especially in the professional services sector.

Choose the Right Lean Six Sigma Certification?

Lean Six Sigma certifications are based on a belt system, different certifications at different levels. Each certification is suited to the employee’s training, level of expertise and time spent to working on projects.

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt

This is the basic level of Certification where individuals need to have basic understanding of the concepts of quality, six sigma and lean tools. They do not spend their time in any six sigma projects, but they can be observes in the improvement processes and can be part of the projects. They need basic class room training on Lean six sigma.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Green Belts typically spend about 25 percent of their time contributing to Six Sigma projects and the remainder working in other areas. Green Belts are highly valued for the functional knowledge they bring to the project team. They are not only experts in Six Sigma, but also experts in the process that they are improving. Green Belts help their project teams gather and analyze data, and play an important role in identifying and implementing improvements.
In addition to classroom training, Green Belts must acquire the practical skills and real-world experience in shape of completing projects.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Black Belts lead project teams and act as mentors to individual team members. Six Sigma is their primary responsibility and they practice it full time. Qualifications for a Black Belt role include three years of relevant work experience and completion of two Six Sigma projects along with classroom training.

LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT TRAINING

Yellow Belts receive minimum 32 hours training that enables them to be good team members and support Green Belt and Black Belt projects. Yellow Belts will gather data, participate in problem solving and process mapping/management, and sustain the gains resulting from Lean/Six Sigma Projects.

Course Objectives

LEAN SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT TRAINING

Green Belt training (minimum 40 hours) serves two purposes. First, it trains team members to function as part of an effective Lean/Six Sigma team; and second, it begins to prepare them to lead projects and eventually become future Black Belts.
Build a cadre of Green Belts equipped to conduct or participate in Lean/Six Sigma projects. Participants will learn when and how to use the Lean/Six Sigma tools. A statistical package will be used to help Green Belts carry out projects. Deploy Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt projects to improve the overall productivity and profitability of your organization by identifying and resolving chronic problems and avoiding costly deficiencies.

Course Objectives

LEAN SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT TRAINING

Black Belts are technical specialists selected to become on-site implementation experts of Lean/Six Sigma projects. Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Training consists of 96 hours training sessions. These training sessions span approximately 12 weeks. Each participant is expected to identify and bring a project to work on during the course of the Black Belt Training. The participant’s senior management must approve the project. This is a prerequisite for certification.
